A review article on alternative splicing coupled with nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (AS-NMD) in C. elegans has been published in the Journal of Japanese Biochemical Society. The article also summarizes negative feedback regulation of the S-adenosyl-L-methionine synthetase (sams) genes by AS-NMD through N⁶-methyladenosine (m⁶A) modification of the AG dinucleotide at a 3'-splice site.
